Lavish waterfalls and a day with nature just a drive away:
Many will think that Brasilia – Brazil’s Capital is just an unsouled business capital with politics and finances dominating the scene. But the mid-west brazilian Cerrado hides jewls inthe form lavish nature and exuberant wateralls in the hundreds.
A quick drive and the Cerrado reveals its beauty:
An hour drive from downtown Brasilia will take you to the ‘Tororo’ Falls down the DF – 150 road. A 2km dirt road will lead to the Tororo imrovised parking lot which is charged at R$ 10,00 (ten reais) roughly $ 3,30 (jan/18) the stay. After a sloped intermediate/medium 2 km trekk the falls reveal themselves with some 130 f or so and the hard breeze of the welcome cool mist that constrasts the hot tropical sun.
Take water and snacks for the day:
The Cerrado climate of Brasília and region impose a water and snack (fruits/sandwich/etc)) philosophy that is applicable all region round. If you’ve not got the water suuply necessary for a hot day, water and other beverages are available at the parking lot entrance.

Though the sun does shine hard on the falls practically all day long, it’s probably best to arrive early (between 9h and 10h) is recommended as you’ll be able to have a late lunch in Brasilia if your lucky still have time to relish an exposition in downtown Plano Piloto.
